Pembrokeshire’s innovative Primary Schools Asthma project, delivered by a clinical pharmacist specialising in respiratory care, has successfully provided essential asthma management support directly within the county’s primary schools. This award-winning initiative has empowered children and families with effective asthma management tools, improving symptoms and boosting confidence and has become a model for community-based care.

The project has garnered significant recognition, including the Jeffrey Parsons Memorial Prize and the PCRS award for Most Patient-Centred Poster. It was a successful Bevan Exemplar project as part of Cohort 8 and also presented in the Senedd.

Furthermore, the project's impact extends beyond local recognition. A successful abstract submission to the British Journal of General Practice Research and Publishing Conference in Manchester in March 2025 highlights its potential to influence national healthcare practices.

We're incredibly proud of this project and its positive impact on the lives of children and families in Pembrokeshire.

Amazing project, helped manage and treat 8 years worth of severe asthma and eczema, to the point they've pretty much cleared up for my daughter and son 👏 Thank you to Dave the specialist ☺️

Many congratulation to our latest group of children who have been going over and above with their behaviours, in and out of school. It's always a pleasure to share with everyone the hobbies and interests of our young learners and about how they are excelling in the classroom. Da iawn bawb! We also shared our Springboard certificates with the the children who did 'Icy Investigations' and 'Story time with Zog'. It's been a pleasure to welcome Springboard back into the school, especially as our families get so much from the activities on offer. And finally, happy birthday to Lara, Jimmy and James! ... Great shots! Well done Fin 🔥

A great afternoon of football against Monkton Priory School. We played two matches, with a mixture of Year 5 & 6 boys and girls. An entertaining tussle as always, with plenty of exciting football, played in a very physical, but fair manner!

Well done to everyone involved and thank you to Monkton for coming along to play against us! ⚽️
