On 12th February 2026, Pembroke Class went on a ‘Source to Sea Rivers Trip’ with the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, as part of their current Humanities topic on rivers.

We started our trip at the source of river, near the Preselis, and went to a nearby river for some pond dipping and boat racing. We had lunch at Llys-y-Fran, took a pitstop at Gelli Bridge and ended our trip at Picton Point, where the children got to go crab hunting!

Pembroke Class had a fantastic day and cannot thank Tom Bean enough for his knowledge and support throughout the trip!

We started our trip at the source of river, near the Preselis, and went to a nearby river for some pond dipping and boat racing. We had lunch at Llys-y-Fran, took a pitstop at Gelli Bridge and ended our trip at Picton Point, where the children got to go crab hunting!
